When Ben Franklin said "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" he did so in his capacity as the first Fire Chief in the city of Philadelphia.

 

The U.S. Fire Administration and the National Fire Protection Assocation both have lots of great, up to date information on fire safety both at home and while traveling.

We like to present a rotating subset of their material, but we're strongly encourage everyone to check out their fire safety information and follow it... prevention is much more effective than supression!
